Title: Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Developer: Warhorse Studio.
Release date: Feb 13th, 2018.
Price: 59.99$
Platforms: Steam, PS4 & Xbox One.
Trailer:
- Plot:
- The game takes place in the kingdom of Bohemia in the medieval ages, you play as Henry, the son of a blacksmith, your family is killed in a savage attack on your village, so in order to avenge them, you decide to join Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against the invasion of Sigismund, the King of Hungary.
- Gameplay:
- Environnement:
- First-person open world RPG, the size of the map is not yet revealed but Warhorse said that "If you can see it, you can visit it.".
- It's 100% realistic, there are no signs of fantasy
- The game features fields, villages, castles...etc.
- The world is dynamic and your actions and dialogue choices will have consciences.
- Combat:
- A huge variety of fighting styles, you can challenge them in one vs one and use your combos, you can use stealth and assassinate your target, or just find a good spot and rain arrows on them.
- Character development:
- Stats:
- Henry has a bunch of stats that will affect the gameplay such as Agility, Strength, Charisma...etc.
- Skills:
- You also have some skills like Lockpicking, Fencing, Alchemy...etc
- Leveling up a skill gives you a perk.
- You can train to level up skills.
- Every skill has its own perks and bonuses.
- Equipements:
- Weapons:
- There are nine weapon classes including Short, Long, and Bastard swords, Axes, Maces, Knives, Bows, Polearms and finally shields.
- Weapons will need repairs after some time using them.
- Each weapon class has its own skills and level.
- Armors:
- This is my personal favorite, you can wear up to SIXTEEN item at once, how is that possible? Well, in real life, a 15th-century armor is composed of multiple pieces, so instead of wearing "plate armor" you will wear a gambeson, followed by a plate armor then a surcoat on top. Each piece offers protection against a certain type of weapons/attacks.
- Helmets actually affect your vision, wearing a close-faced helmet might save your life but you will not see well.
- Your clothing can get dirty and bloody with use.
- Horse:
- Your steed will play a big part in your journey, you can either use it as a way of transport, a mule, or a warhorse.
- You can equip your horse with different armor pieces as well!!
- Needs:
- Your character will need to eat and sleep to stay healthy, he can fall sick if not rested for a long time.
- Henry can also make poisons and other useful potions with his Alchemy skill.
- You can use your Hunting skill to gather food and ingredients.
I have HUGE hopes for this game, it can totally redefine the RPG genre and make it more realistic and immersive.
